FAQ
If my child has attended Nursery will he/she automatically be given a place at the School? No, whilst we strive to offer all our Nursery children a place in Reception, allocation of Reception places is in strict accordance with the School’s Admission Arrangements.
Does my family have to be Catholic to apply?
No, whilst applications from children of Catholic families are given priority, we have a large proportion of children at the school from non-Catholic families and we welcome applications from anyone who would like their child to attend our school.
What happens if I cannot find the relevant evidence to support my application?
Unfortunately, in these circumstances, we will be unable to place your application within the category according to our Admission Arrangements. In these circumstances please speak to the school office and we will do our best to assist you.
Do I need to supply a letter of support from my priest/minister?
No, there is no need to supply this to us. Completing the Supplemental information form and providing a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate (or equivalent) will be sufficient.
Do I have to fill out a Local Authority Application Form?
Yes, you must complete this form online before (TBC) January 2022. If you have any difficulties with the form, please contact the school office for assistance.
How do you allocate places?
Places are allocated strictly in accordance with the School’s Admissions Criteria. Please see Nursery policy and Reception policy. If you have any questions about how the criteria is applied please contact the school office.
When will I find out if my child has gained a place?
Parents will be informed on allocation day, Places are allocated via email by the School (Nursery) or on the 19th April 2022 by your County Council (Reception)
How to Apply for an 'In Year Admission'
