St Mary’s School Vision | ![]() |
At St Mary’s we strive to provide an excellent education for all children within the values of the Gospels. We recognise each individual as a child of Christ and look to nurture and develop everyone in our school community.
We have high expectations of behaviour but live and learn together in a loving, caring community where every child is treasured.
We provide a broad and balanced Curriculum and challenge our pupils and staff to further improve in all areas of learning. We recognise the importance of taking risks and accept failure is a part of life and gives an opportunity to succeed in the future.
We are a forward looking school and always look at ways to further improve and incorporate new technologies and innovations to our school. However, we are still traditional and are proud of and value our past. We hold dear the values of respect, good manners, love and tolerance. We live in a diverse society with many cultures, ethnicities and religions. We promote tolerance and respect for all and remember that all in our school community – pupils, staff, parents and governors deserve to be recognised, valued and appreciated for who they are.
Low expectations, low standards, poor teaching and bad behaviour is not accepted. We are all here to provide an excellent education in a safe, secure and happy learning environment; a school in which all pupils and staff feel welcome and excited to be in.
When someone visits St Mary’s, they will witness a school community living out its mission statement, being a real family.
