I have been a governor, both parent and foundation, since 2010, joining the St Mary's Governing body in November 2015. I have worked for a high street bank for 28 years, 25 of those in management positions. This management experience allows me to bring a broad understanding of a number of areas, including financial, professional development and regulatory influences to the Governing body. I have one daughter, currently at The John Henry Newman School, who attended St Mary's, allowing me to also take a parental perspective of what is required from the Governing Body. I still manage to play football, enjoy reading, in particular crime novels, and watching most sports.
