Dear Parents
Well what a year 2020 has been!
Thank you for all your support, kind wishes and gifts.
It has been and continues to be very challenging times for all of us, your support is greatly valued.
It always is a great privilege to lead such an exceptional team of staff, their dedication and care has shone through more than ever in the last few months. I want to thank them all for their hard work this year and the love and support they give the children.
None of us know how the new academic year will pan out but we have planned and will continue to plan so that St Mary’s can carry on as it always has done, offering a caring and safe environment for everyone.
Our Year 6 children leave us today and have held their own special leaving assembly with the staff followed by plenty of burgers and sausages! We send them and all the other children leaving us, our love and best wishes.
The school has also said goodbye to Mrs Barbour today, after twelve years of dedicated service. We wish her well in her new adventures.
St Mary’s is truly a family school. Many pupils, parents and staff refer to St Mary’s as their second family. Parents, your part in this school family is so important and appreciated.
Being head teacher of St Mary’s is my job but your support, love, understanding and prayers help me so much.
I send you and your families my very best wishes. Please take care and look after yourselves this summer.
September will come round quickly and we can once more be together as a whole school community.
God bless
Mrs Julia Pearce
