Our Catholic ethos underpins the agreed aims of the school. In the course of their daily work our teachers contribute to the development of this. They are enthusiastic, hardworking and committed to providing the best possible learning experience for our children.
We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which develops the skills, concepts and knowledge necessary for future learning. We recognise that each pupil is an individual and value every child, irrespective of ability, race, gender, age or achievement. We try continually to improve what works best for all our children. Our policy is constantly evolving and is updated and referred to as required.
At St Mary's we include a wide range of off-site visits to enhance our curriculum, written parental consent will not be requested from you for the majority of off-site activities offered by the school – for example, year-group visits to local amenities – as such activities are part of the school’s curriculum and usually take place during the normal school day.
