Today, Year 6 led a special assembly to honor and remember the fallen. We reflected on the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our freedom. Their legacy reminds us of the importance of peace and gratitude in our world 🕊️🌎

This morning, Mrs Cooke visited Year 3 to listen to their persuasive speeches. Year 3 included some excellent persuasive and emotive language and used rhetorical questions in their writing. Well done Year 3 and thank you for visiting Mrs Cooke! 📚

This morning Year 3 had their first violin lesson. The children learnt how to hold a violin and found out lots of interesting facts about the instrument. Well done Year 3! 🎻🎶

As part of our Catholic Social Teaching, Year 6 enjoyed debating environmental questions from different perspectives. We had opinions from ‘the Prime Minister’, ‘the CEO of an oil and gas company’ and ‘renewable energy companies’!👏🏻😁

Year 6 were invited to lead a Decade of the Rosary at the church. They read beautifully👏🏻

Year 6 had a fantastic morning at Johnson Matthey. The children learnt about different filters used to collect soot, made their own wash-coats for Catalytic converters and sieved & filtered precious metal mixtures!🧑🏻‍🔬

Year 6 learnt a lot about careers involving technology as part of a workshop with BT. We met ambassadors, who told us all about their day-to-day, educational background and what they love about their jobs!👩🏼‍💻👨🏽‍💻
